I have a brand new flash cart on the way, and as soon as it arrives I’m throwing the patch on it and popping it into my Gamecube. This, however, is what I’ve been waiting 13 years for. I played the import with the print-out guide from GameFaqs, which was an arduous process indeed, but it was my only option at the time. I’ve been saving playing through the fan translation for this to come out. This guide is the epitome of total fandom. Have you thought about sending one to Itoi? Or better yet, what about Reggie Fils-Aime with an attached love letter? You’ve gone far beyond every expectation I had for this release, on par with (perhaps even exceeding) the quality of even Doublejump books. An extreme amount of professionalism went into crafting this masterpiece, and I am truly grateful for it. I have to commend the entire staff who worked on this handbook. I honestly had no idea what it was until I opened the package! XD Is that a white sesame? Does that mean I now have to find the black sesame? If I may ask, though… the page after Chapter 6 ( ) is all black… except for a single spot of white. I’m so happy I became a Mother fan and found this website. The book is amazing, the cover is amazing, the keychain is suprisingly heavy and well-made (I forgot it was going to be nickel, I was expecting cheapo plastic… because… nickel’s kind of… conductive, you know? Haha!), and the hand-drawn packaging slip, sticker, and store discount was just… oh, just over the top. The Simpson’s cursed yogurt reference had me laughing for a good few minutes, and the electric catfish taxonomy… well, I’m a biochemist, so that had me in tears.Įveryone did such a great job on this. it’s just… all put together so weeeeeell… ![]() So’s Meeela for the clay and… oh gosh, just all the art…. My little sister is a graphic designer, and even though she thinks I’m crazy for buying a guide to a game I’ve already beaten, she can’t get over how well designed the thing is. N.B.This is the BEST THING I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. It does not play nice with the included soundfond, so you now need to use an older version of foo_midi for the MIDI pack to work properly. N.B.: As user engiSonic suggested me to mention, there’s a new update of the foo_midi component for foobar2000 that replaces BASSMIDI with FluidSynth. Tell me what you think! Also, if you think you can help improve this package, I’d love to hear from you. But I thought people would appreciate to have a better version, so I share it. Also, I’m currently developing a Web-based Sound Player for MOTHER 3 (with the same look and feel as in the game) and I wanted to put this high quality rip in it. Originally, I did all this for my own needs, because I wanted to put together a nice high quality MOTHER 3 soundtrack for me to listen to. I tagged and sorted the music files by folders, in the same way the previous “ultimate rip” was. – As for the pitch bending problem (for tracks such as “Red-Green-Yellow-Yellow” or “Is it Just Me Or Are You Gorgeous?”), it seems much harder to fix, I think it would need some extra skills for midi editing and such. I think I’ve been able to fix every track that was affected by this issue at least for all the main music files and unused music files. It seems GBAmusRiper sometimes doesn’t extract these data correctly, and then some tracks didn’t loop anymore and others were cut off after 2 seconds. – I inserted the correct loop information in some midi files, with a midi editor. The option seems to be new, as Hendricks266 and Tanks didn’t seem to have it at the time. – I used a option on GBAmusRiper (“sv”, for “simulate vibrato”), allowing me to fix the weird vibrato effect on some tracks (such as Mom’s Hometown). I did the whole same process, trying to figure out what I could improve. I wanted to try the same extracting process myself, and see if I could do it better. Also, a few tracks were cut off after a few seconds. Pitch bending isn’t always right, loop and music length information sometimes aren’t kept properly, and the conversion added some weird effects like a vibrato effect in some tracks. ![]() However, the process – which uses Sappy – implied a few quirks caused by the Sappy → Midi conversions. ![]() The advantage of this extracting method is that the audio quality is much better than playing the music through the original game, even with an emulator or GSF, because it is not affected by the quality impact produced by the GBA sound driver. He shared a link to a new music rip for MOTHER 3, made with a tool called GBAmusRiper, and converted into MP3/FLAC with foobar2000. A few years ago on this forum, forumgoer Hendricks266 started a topic called MOTHER 3 Ultimate Music Rip.
